Day 26 and 27 of the challenge

Yesterday was busy, today even more so, doing family stuff!
Bike ride, watching a movie with the kids and DH came home early for the occassion. We used up the last of our cinema gift cards to go see Despicable Me 2 in 3D

Then DH surprised us by taking us out to dinner ( and we had a $5 off coupon! )

Relaxed afternoon and now I am getting to that cleaning out of the fridge I never got to last week! ( When it was soooo hot! )

I am starting to juice tomorrow morning and I want to be ready!

Got my Kale and lemon and mint and carrots ready!

I need to get my Vit B's and Iron INTO my body! The supplements were making me feel ill!
I'll try the food first!

I made "The Plan" carrot cake yesterday and it came out well, delicious! DS didn't like that I added raisins to it! LOL

It uses a TON of carrots which is a good thing!

No egg!

We have a whole string of social occassions this weekend, hence my status: It never rains it pours!

Tomorrow Family BBQ _ I am taking a nice big salad
Sunday - Ladies Brunch
Sunday lunch out with some special people


I will barely have to cook this weekend!

    I have my minions, I mean kids doing my juicing for me in the morning! So far so good! Just hope it is having the desired effect on the blood! ( Iron)

    You are such a busy bee Mel. Enjoy your
    weekend. I have to take a get out of jail card.
    Couldn't find my oat sourdough bread and
    I got some sourdough rye, but it does contain
    the 'sweet poison'. I walked for an hour and a half.
    Our city council launched its new fitness programs.
    Lots of classes to choose from -aqua aerobics, yoga
    Pilates, cooking for health and there was a lady who
    has beaten cancer. She gave a heart warming talk and
    told us she runs a Well BEing and Anti Ageing Clinic
    in conjunction with Diabetes guidelines. She also talked
    about Metabolic Syndrome and I think I might go to the
    free Seminar. A tiring but productive Day.

    Hi there - sorry I've not been around - a week in hospital, and a week up the West Coast, both without WiFi - a couple of short swims (nothing like your long-distance training) and an aqua class; some walking, three flights of stairs to get to the Kaliva (cabana) and shiver-me-timbers under many blankets to try to get warm

    Home again now - no yellow cheese - lots and lots of salad and fruit - DD2's basket is still going strong - the water was foul so that wasn't so good - but I discovered hot chocolate was gentler on the tummy with all the pills, than coffee. Back to the regular 2 - 3 litres of water now.

    Hmm I wonder if that's why I feel so much better this afternoon??

    Juicing sounds like a great way to get your vitamins in - get much better absorbed than supplements.

    Thursday - eating on track, walked tot he post office and office twice
    This morning - started the day with a 25 min yoga session which included planks.I'll feel my tummy muscles tomorrow :)
    Weight is still above goal but it's going in the right direction again (PMS bloat s#cks!)
    No grocery shop today, I still have enough to last the weekend and on Monday we need to take the truck in for service in Durango - we'll combine the trip with a grocery run.

    Had my juice this morning with fresh kale, lemon, ginger, cucumber, carrot and beet!

    My body also doesn't like vitamins very much. (and make me feel ill, too) Definitely getting your vitamins from food is ideal, anyways... I hope it works!
