If you are ever in the Kansas City area i highly recommend the Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kansas. Our family went at 3 p.m. to get some discounted tickets and we had a great time. The only downer for me was when i lost control of my tube and heading down some rapids on my own. Not a good idea.

Though we missed our oldest daughter who had to work, it was a great time for our youngest daughter to enjoy some undivided attention from her mom and me.

Blessings

I have never heard of that place but will defnitely need to check it out. We are planning a trip to Worlds of Fun before my youngest heads back to college. Haven't been there in years.

Oops! Hope you are alright after the rapids with no tube! Did you get bashed up? Haven't been there but have heard of it - they featured it on one of the "extreme waterparks" for one of its crazy high water slides. I am fine with Big Surf or Whitewater or even the water park at Six Flags in St Louis. (I am a whimp when it comes to rides and heights).
Anyway, glad you are home and that you had fun.

We enjoy our local waterpark... our daughter and her family live in Liberty, MO... I wonder how far the Schlitterbahn Water Park is from them!! (My son in laws main office is in Kansas City, KS, so I'm thinking it can't be too far!) We'll be up there next weekend, may have to check it out! Thanks for sharing!

That sounds like fun...but whether my grandfatherly husband would think so, well, probably not! Enjoy it while you can!
