These last few days have been long and wonderful and draining and amazing. I figured I might as well come out with it. I never thought I would be the one to say this ever in my life but, my baby's daddy is in prison. He left me when I was three months pregnant, so it was a very grueling process trying to find him. And then we had to go through a paternity suit because I was four months pregnant when he went in, so he didn't believe she was his, considering she is a year and a half old now, it was kind of a shocker for him. Anyway, they met each other for the first time yesterday. Now, Trinity is usually so skiddish with strangers, especially men. But it was like she knew him very well. He held her the whole three hour visit, and fed her, and she was giving him all kinds of kisses, and then she even fell asleep on him. We even got our pictures taken together there in front of a backdrop. I will post them once I get them scanned in. And he made a very impressive rose, Mickey, and Minnie out of popsicle sticks for us. I will post pics of those later too. He will not be released on parole until just after she turns three. I was so nervous to go, it was like I was meeting him for the first time, because he was such an asshole when I knew him, and our lives have changed so much. But, I guess prison is doing some good for him because he is a completely wonderful person now. It was a five hour round trip drive and a three hour visit, so it was an all day event, and very exhausting.
Today we woke up early and went to the state park. I walked her with the stroller about 30 minutes, so there was my exercise squeezed in. And then our photographer met us there and we had a two hour photo shoot with her. Trinity did very well with that too. I am so blessed to have such a good baby. Cannot wait to get those pictures because they always come out amazing. Then I dropped her at the sitters so I could take out the old man again. We went to get his blood work done at the hospital, then to the Army Navy store to get...guess what... belts! LOL!! The Kmart one was apparently marked "Dept. 46" and not "Size 46". Geeeez. The store owner sized him for these and cut them to size while we were there, so, hopefully this will be the last time we have to go belt shopping. Then we went next door to a little local place called Bricker's (formerly Isaly's) to eat. I got an open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and a piece of banana cream pie, and took half of everything in a to-go box. Then took him home, visited for 15 minutes, picked up kiddo, and now home for dinner. I put in my tracker my lunch and the remaining portion for dinner, and still came in short on calories because all I had for breakfast was a piece of whole wheat toast on the road. So, I cheated and upped the serving size on all of the lunch and dinner and it's good now. I was probably putting in too little of a serving size anyways, I am not a good eye baller.
