I woke up feeling completely exhausted today. I actually fell back asleep for a couple of hours, and still woke up groggy.
I was going to just relax for the morning. I am taking some of my kids for swimming this afternoon, so I would be getting some fitness in. Well, something inside of me said no way. The scale is starting to move - slowly, but it's moving. I need to stay focused. I need to keep training too.
I needed to see the chiropractor, so I booked an appointment, got on my shoes, and ran over there. In total, I got in 2.5miles. Ran to the chiropractor, then to the pharmacy. I needed a second inhailer to carry in my running gear. I also picked up a couple pairs of compression socks.
So I killed 5 birds with one stone - running, chiropractor, inhailer, compression socks, and a coffee. lol
Anyhow, now I'm home wearing one of the new pairs of socks I picked up. I will be getting changed within the hour to take my kids swimming.
I am feeling quite drained, but am still doing what I can to keep moving. At the same time, I'm not pushing to injury. Tomorrow is a training day for running - a 70minute tempo run. It's definitely going to be a tough one, but I can do it. My long run this week is 100minutes. I am going to do that one either Saturday or Sunday, depending on how I feel Saturday morning.
So I guess I can say I'm still giving it my best effort, despite being tired, etc. I really think I might be able to reach my goal this time. It feels so great.
