I wish summer lasted forever! I am in such a good routine... I exercise early when it's still cool, come back and do a little housework or yard work, and have time to plan, shop, and prepare healthy meals. I enjoy cooking when I'm not starved and rushed at the end of the work day. Also enjoying reading, crafting, and a (very) little bit of planning for the upcoming school year. So relaxed and carefree! It's so much easier to take care of myself with more time and less stress.
Starting to think about how I can maintain my momentum when I go back to work in 3 1/2 weeks. I had my hair chopped, so it will be easier to squeeze in a workout before work some mornings with little fuss. I plan to come up with some go-to weekly menu plans and shopping lists, and stock up on healthy meal and snack options to keep handy at work. Also need to keep my gym bag and shoes ready in the car to hit the park or gym after work. One of my goals this year is to get out the door on time and make my health as much of a priority as my job.
My greatest incentive to get and stay fit is to enjoy a full active retirement when the time comes!
