Weigh In Day -3lbs

Thursday, July 25, 2013

Last night was one of those unplanned, pretty awesome nights. Despite the fact that I forgot to thaw something out for dinner and had to eat out (a sodium overload salad from Moe's) I had ordered a Keurig bundle for myself and it finally arrived. I love love love the KCup coffee's especially since flavored coffee is my deal. I think it's so neat to have all these different KCups and I can pick one each day that suits my mood. Check out my new baby! Isn't she fantastic!

Mid-afternoon yesterday my girlfriend asked to have drinks that evening. She's been going through a lot of stuff lately and just needed an ear, some vodka, and a hand to hold. We met up at Friday's and I ordered a vodka and sprite. Probably not the best choice the day before weigh in but it's my favorite drink and I chased each sip with water. I definetly could have had 2 but I stopped and just asked for another glass of water. I was so comfy going out last night and still managed to look put together. At my higher weight I would have spent nearly an hour trying to find something to wear and attempting to stretch out a pair of jeans that were 2 sizes too small. Not tonight though! I slipped on my jeans, shirt, shoes and headed out. Apologies for my dirty bathroom mirror, tomorrow is cleaning day.

This morning I was nervous as all getout after last nights sodium overload that was completly unplanned. I set a goal for myself to lose 8lbs this month (monthly prediction: s/w 189, g/w 181) and I did it! That's two months in a row I've made my personal goal. I'm so psyched to be in the 170's, even if it is only by .5. I've been working so hard this week and it's great seeing it all pay off. Hooray!

If you've seen my home page I post stats on the right side. I list my current weight, goal weight, and a dream weight. My dream weights I don't talk about often. They're my little secrets, kind of like a "personal best" award. I also list my milestone marks. Milestone marks are how I move my tracker. After every 10lb loss I re-configure the tracker and use it to track my milestone progress. Working 10lbs off is a lot easier than nearly 100 so I feel more accomplished and I can celebrate each 10lb milestone.

This month I set a goal loss of 8lbs but my dream loss is actually 10lbs. That would be amazing! Would you believe I am only .5 away from my dream loss for July. Exciting!!!! July sorta slipped in an extra week there so I'm going to focus on pulling a 2-3lb loss again and then I'll divide that between July and August's goal. As long as I get that .5 this girl will be happy. It's such a great feeling knowing that I am staying on track. I'm proud of myself.

Oh yeah, I have a Keurig as well and it is my favorite appliance (are they considered appliances? o-well). Ours was a wedding gift and it works perfectly b/c the Mr doesn't drink coffee and I kept wasting half a pot whenever I made it in the traditional coffee maker. I love the flavored coffees as well (one of my faves is the Green Mtn wild Blueberry...but its more of a "dessert" type coffee b/c you can't drink too much or itll makes me sick. haha but a great alternative to blueberry pie/cobbler!)

That's fantastic! I like the 10 lb goals instead of the big picture goal, I may have to try that :)

Have a great day

Enjoy your kcup of coffee's! I need to find a healthy yet tasteful version of mocha/carmael fraps and latte's! I love them! =) You look great in your pic, I bet it feels surreal to be able to pick out something from the closet and not fight with the piece you pick! keep up the good job you're killing!!! Congrats on meeting your personal goals two months in a row!!
