UPDATES: So yeah, running!

I ran into my neighbor yesterday while she was walking with her little boy, and we got to talking about losing baby weight and all the usual neighbor stuff. She asked me, "Did you just start running?" I said yes, told her about the C25K program, and how I was up to 10 minute intervals. She seemed visibly impressed, and said "You GO girl!" She doesn't run but I told her how much fun it was, so we may end up running together at some point. That would be nice.

What an odd paragraph for me to type. I'm still getting over the shock of saying, "Yes, I am a runner" (I guess I can say that. I mean, I am running, so doesn't that make me a runner?) I'm still amazed with myself that I'm running 10 minutes without stopping. (Yeah, last week I was supposed to do a 20 minute interval, but my calves were killing me, so I had to walk for a minute, but SO WHAT!!!) I'm running for 10 freaking minutes!!!

Six weeks ago I would have said, "Impossible. Not me." Har-har.

One of my favorite motivational quotes I found on Pinterest seems to sum it all up:
"Just stick with it. What seems so hard now will one day be your warm-up."

I love it.
