Rained out

Thursday, July 25, 2013

I got out early this morning (6:45) for my walk. The clouds were heavy and dark and moving quickly so I hoped they would blow on over. I saw a tiny sliver of blue sky and headed toward the next block. As I came around the second block I debated about going to the left (further from home) or to the right and thought I felt some sprinkles so I went right thinking if it did not develop into anything I could go past the house and walk the other way. As I was coming around the corner to the house the skies opened and I was soaked but I made it home before the lightning and thunder got too close!

I'll bet the rain felt good after all of that humidity! It's a good thing that you have some indoor exercise equipment!

Glad you made it home safe before that lightning started! But it can get you even before it starts, I am petrified of lightning, but there is nothing you can do to anticipate it's movements and when or where it will strike. Sometimes out of a blue sky. I love walking in the rain though, something almost spiritual about that, a feeling of washing away all the bad and cleansing. Kind of weird, right? Fed my daughter some chanterelles yesterday with our pasta and shrimp. Awesome! Have a wonderful day today!

I'm glad you got home in time. That happened to me too one day last month. The skies opened up and soaked me so I had to cut it short.

At least we got out there! Great job.
