I was just thinking I make goals and achieve them

Thursday, July 25, 2013

I made the 70,000 steps goal when I started using the FitBit, honestly I thought no freekin way am I gonna make that the first week. I likely will make the goal. It may make sense because 5 hard exercise days allows for 2 rest days a week. I'm trying make sure I'm not injured or not have a good amount of rest for pushing myself so hard. I thought my exercise level was moderate, not so, I walk about 2 hours a day, stretch, do Yogilates, have 4 cardio days. Um hum, I'm a heavy exerciser. If I can make it Friday morning I'm going back to the mountain, yep. Probably write more later today if SP's site stops being wonky for me~

EDIT--Yeah, my body is kinda screaming today and its pretty warm out so I'm abstaining for the day from heavy exercising. I'm doing 2 loads of laundry anyhow and its better for me to rest more today since it feels like I could use the break some. So I'll walk Friday-Saturday mornings for 2.5 hours and do my cardio and strength training like activity and I'll have in my 70K steps. I knew this may be a harder goal but its alright, what good are goals if they are easy to obtain? I think on my off exercise days from heavy cardio I just have to get in a moderate amount of activity like say doing yoga and light walking, dancing or things of that nature and I'll be alright. I've notice on my sedentary days I am really too inactive with only about 2500 steps or so and that is too sedentary.

The SO is doing well and he came over last night and we discussed that we would get married in October on Saturday the 19th or 26th and he said pick either one of those dates. I said I like the 19th the best so he said that is when we will get married in the evening round 7pm. (I like odd numbers.) Afterwards we'll go to a nice restaurant and have a party for 3 hours or so and round 1030pm we'll take our leave of everyone and for 6 days we'll be in California. Since we are taking 2 weeks in September and a week in October its as much time as we can be off together. We decided we'll probably do an amusement park, the beach, things like that and just be laid back. Maybe one night we'll go out and be fancy but we're laid back sorts so that is the plan.

I was looking at fall type wedding cakes, I like cake that is yellow or a lighter colour and maybe chocolate or another flavour for the frosting. I hate very sweet cake, like many wedding cakes are. I say make it from scratch or a box, go easy on the frosting and call it a day. I do like a little bit of fruit like peaches or strawberries to go with it. I do like strawberry cake even if its out of the season really. I just don't want to bother with an expensive, gross cake. We are just going to get married in a chapel, sort of Buddhist for me and God like for him (since the SO believes in such things) and lil girl and the son will be a flower girl and best man and we'll head to a hotel for dinner afterwards, little enough fuss. I think I found a few dresses I like and the SO is going to forgo a suit jacket and just have a vest and suit pants and a shirt. Sort of like a beach theme in the fall. He showed me what he was considering in ivory and man with him being so dark it will look so good! I will wear ivory definitely as well and he said in terms of flowers he would just prefer to wear a red rose and I will have some red roses for my flowers. We're going to have a simple enough ceremony so why not!

So my mom and I are going to look at dresses Saturday morning and The SO, The Son and my Dad are playing bust the rocks in the backyard, landscaping things you know. The SO knows where he wants to get his wedding suit and they have what he wants so its just a matter of going to get it in Frisco when we are there in September. If it works for him then fine by me. If I don't find my dress here I may have to get it in Frisco or maybe fly over to Kleinfeld in NY right? Nawh, I'm not dropping that kind of cash lol, besides Randy isn't there to consult with anymore. I'm pretty confident I'll find something here. I would like to wear a fitted dress with a deep red sash, cap sleeves and comfortable shoes because I cannot do heels, my back would scream at me for days. I may just pick up some Chuck Taylors or Skechers since the dress will cover them pretty well.

It's great you are meeting your goals. I had a moment of truth like that. I created a vision wall in my house on a white board. It lists my goals and vision, barriers and behaviors to meeting them, and the action plan. Thank you for sharing. You are doing great!

Way to go on the exercise. I'd never heard of Yogilates. I looked it up. Sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Good job with meeting your goals! I'm always impressed with reading about your exercising. emoticon
I like exercising a lot also, now I just need to get my food intake under control.
