up 22 lbs in 4.5 months. Sure the last two are probably sodium pounds, but...dagnabit, I've no drive to slow this runaway weight train. I'm severely loathing myself, even in the middle of what has otherwise been a fun week and change (did a concert weekend this past weekend, three shows in the Milwaukee and Madison area, and hung out at the Dane County Fair, where an Alpaca tried to make out with me. I got a picture where, if you were so inclined, you could interpret it as if I were punching the darn thing (although, you'd have to stretch that point quite far). The sad part is that I look like a huge fat beastly thing in that pic, belly straining a t-shirt that used to fit quite comfortably.

anyway. being a bum. wrong direction. cognizant of it and not able to change it. worst part. (bleep)

Might have to bother you folks again with woes, maybe that'll change stuff up.

I'm not losing either, which I know is no comfort to you. Glad you weren't hurt worse in your accident!

You can get back on track. Just start doing the small things you were doing before.

Don't know what to say. We do all go through this inertia for sure. BUT the self-loathing. Hmmmm...something to spend some time thinking about. Definitely. You deserve to think better of yourself! I hope you do.For sure, if you're so inclined and it helps, vent away.

As for the Alpaca, all I can say is . . . whoa!

Hey -- I did this SAME THING. Seriously. I packed on like 20# faster than I thought possible. I've been working at it for less than a month, and I've kicked 8 of those pounds' a$$.

You can get back to it. Your body likes it when you're healthy... your body likes it when you exercise. I felt like crap the first two weeks getting back to it, but now I'm glad I did. You can too.

Oh Partha! "Bother" away! That's what we're here for!

THEN...... get off your A$$ and hit that hotel gym..... hard!

    Start a lifting routine!

Run Intervals on the damn treadmill if you have to!

Swim laps like you're Michael Phelps trying to get to a bong at the other end! (Crap! Was that innappropriate????) But I bet it got your attention, huh? ;-)

Run the stairs in your hotel or at work! You remember how you used to count your stair steps down to the cafeteria??? (You had a much more creative name for it though)

Do whatever it takes, cause YOU are worth it! Enough of this FUNK and slothin' around! It's time to take control again! YOU got this, Buddy!
(Yes, the situation was calling for a "Buddy"....)

Hi, just to let you know, I'm a fellow passenger in the same boat, have gained approx. 40 lb and do not seem to have the mindset to make a change right now, but it sounds like you are getting there, to that decision point where change becomes possible. Good luck in rounding that corner and I am going to draw some inspiration from you, OK? Take care, Kathleen

Feel free to vent here we're here to support one another and once you vent get it out of your system and know that you can make that big change at any moment. You need to start believing in yourself and loving yourself!
Think positive okay maybe the T shirt is strained right now but at least you can still get into it, let this be the day that you look yourself in the mirror and say hey I love you and because I do I'm going to take care of you and start eating healthier and exercising more.
Little changes add up to LBS lost even if it's parking a little further away from the door or taking stairs instead of an elevator, or instead of a candy bar you reach for an apple YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!
No more self loathing, you have to love yourself enough to change, good luck on your journey!
