Personal Best Woggle 5k - Practice Run

Just walk/jogged = woggled my 5k (loop) in preperation for my 5k race on Saturday i PR my time was 52;37 this race i'll be doing has a 278 elevation gain my hill hear was 258 so felt my lungs were burning (sinus infection) thought i was going to die just as i was cresting the hill and reaching my first mile (my boss and my best friend - say SUCK IT UP & WALK IT OFF) I just repeated those words and man felt good when i hit the top was extremly proud took me 20 mins and my goal was to stay at 54-55 mins considering i reinjured my groin and just got the clearance i was excited that i was feeling good at this point i walked and jogged intervals woggle is what i call it i was told to keep the jogging a light one which i did but i could go longer distances i would say i'm going to jog to that tree and would get to it and kept going if i could if not would walk fast by mile 2 completed i was still feeling good and knew i had it started woggling more this was the part that was the straight away my last 1/4 mile was hard but i kicked it up i got my personal record tonight i am so proud of myself this was big i was acutally scared of this 5k coming up since all i could do was walk up and til friday and then with my sinus infection i haven't trained as much til yesterday and today and started light yesterday. This was awesome it was my day to prove i could.. Bring on Saturday's race ican do it!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Good luck on Saturday, You can do it!!!! Hope your sinus don't pop up to surprise you. Take whatever you need to to keep it at bay.

    I love your "Woggle" term. Never heard that before. Good luck on your 5k this Saturday! I'm training for one in October. emoticon
