I have been participating on the Split-Team Challenge and have really enjoyed it. I liked that it lasted only 2 weeks. The fact it was short, meant that all of the things we did were going to be a CHALLENGE - but anyone can do almost ANYTHING for 2 weeks (in our fitness class the time is ONE MINUTE) and it doesn't seem overwhelming. All of the people were friendly and kind to a newcomer. I am not a newcomer to SP or to many teams but I was specifically called to join the team because the CHALLENGE looked interesting and I knew several of the people who were participating in the CHALLENGE. Since this has been MY SUMMER OF ME, adding a new challenge seemed like a good idea. This challenge was ever changing and so was I ever changing during it. The leader came up with bonus activities that kept us HOPPING and often kept me writing or blogging, or recording what I did quite late at night (like tonight). I hope it gets posted by midnight because I really would like to complete it by then but tonight has been a VERY challenging evening and I am a bit more stressed than I have been in ages.
My favorite challenges have been the ones that asked for us to reflect, blog, and share thoughts, feelings, etc. I find that really is freeing and helpful to clarifying my thoughts and my journey.
Thanks to my teammates my opponents on other teams - we were never really OPPONENTS but friendly rivals. Thanks to my team leader, and especially thanks to the leader and coordinator of the entire challenge. I plan to participate in the next challenge as well. It has been fun, challenging and a lot of help.
