Sparkstreak Day 8

Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Whew! It is hot tonight, so plenty of sweat equity while gardening. What does this do for my Sparkstreak, you ask? Well, all the hoeing, bending over while weeding and amending the soil, watering, and dragging the hose around adds up to about 2 hours in the garden, but I logged about 45 minutes of exercise-worthy minutes.

Again, meals and exercise logged, and I think I will lose weight this week, but I measured myself, and I have lost 6 inches total, so that's something - something, indeed. I am happy about that.

The tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants have been watered and had another dose of hoeing. Since we are organic gardeners, there's plenty of weeding to do. I spread composted chicken manure around the cabbages and some other plants to give them a boost. It has been dry all month, so I am also watering more than usual for this time of year.

Wonderful. You should definitely be proud of those 6 inches. I love gardening. Mine is doing well. I have started picking tomatoes and snow peas. Green beans should be ready tomorrow.
