my legs will fall off in the morning

Tonight Derrell and I took to the football stadium and sprinted up stadium steps and the hills surrounding the stadium and we jogged the football track. It was an hour of high-intensity, heavy breathing, leg-killing cardio. I need it. Right before taking to the stadium I stole a glimpse of myself in my wedding dress from my phone's gallery. That pic was taken at my first fitting nearly 8 weeks ago and I honestly looked thinner and more toned and fit. My wedding is in 6 weeks and my next fitting is next Monday. I want to look as beautiful as I felt in that first pic. So today I tapped into my inner track star/football player/ psycho-maniac and I sprinted up those stadium stairs skipping every other step. It was like an out of body experience. I was taking to the stairs with so much intensity that I forgot how good it felt to be an athlete. I have never been an athlete but my weight loss journey has revealed a natural athletic ability that I never knew I had. After an hour of running steps, jogging the track and running up grassy hills, Derrell and I were both spent and smelling like skunks wearing cologne. Even during the walk to the car, my legs quivered and my knees buckled. I am pretty sure I am going to wake up tomorrow and my legs will have removed themselves and hid in a closet somewhere.
I am super excited! My bridal shower is this Saturday. I didn't have a shower the first time I got married. Then again, no one wanted me to get married. This time around, I have the right man and I am a different woman and EVERYONE is thrilled! I snuck onto my registry to see if items were already purchased (I know, I am bad). I can't wait to post pics of the celebration.
Well Sparklers, have a fantastic evening and a successful Thursday. Remember that this journey does not have an end date; it is forever. Focus on the meal in front of you not the person you want to be 50 lbs later.
