Fiddling with ranges...

My initial activity level/weight loss goal put my calorie range in the bare-minimum bracket: 1200-1550. This is easily doable! But then my fitness goals changed, and when I adjusted it on the fitness tracker, my calorie range went up. More food and still losing? So worth it!!

So then I got curious: how much more /less activity warrants a calorie-range adjustment? I tweaked the fitness goals up and down, then checked the revised (or not) nutrition goals, just to get a feel for it. I guess the new tracker does something like this automatically. This gave me a new perspective too, noting a lower-than-normal day of eating, or even going over range a little, isn't such a big deal. In the long run, things will even out. As long as my efforts are consistent!!

    I've tweaked mine previous and found it didn't really work for me. oh well glad you are doing it!

    Tracking is for the moment my best motivation for keeping under my limit, but I have set my own range wothout using the automatic function of spark people. Tracking has made me more aware that sudden impulse eating does not matter that much if I donīt let them become the excuse to binge.

    Tracking and keeping an eye on the scale are my two best tools. Consistency is key for the other two to work properly! I haven't gotten the calorie range thing to work well since I started using the fitbit because the fitbit gives me credit for more than just my "exercise" minutes.

    Thanks for reminder, SP sent me a note saying because of my weight loss that I should re-assess my calories and I havent' gotten around to it yet. But, good point you make, with my extra exercising, maybe I won't have to cut back my calories either...
