Children's Holidays

Wednesday, July 24, 2013

The kids have all broken up for the summer. My daughter took her 2 to the natural history museum. They came round tonight very excited. I was babysitting, but the girls were mostly playing with friends. I could hear Lauren shouting 'Lets get the party started!' I had to laugh as she is five. After playing out for two hours they still had so much energy, bouncing on trampoline and hula hooping for another hour in the garden. I told them to wash their face and hands before they ate supper and Lauren was using a scouring pad on her face.

Child care is so expensive so I expect I will be helping out a lot.

Ate well today didn't have salad but delicious salmon fresh peas and baked new potatoes. I love fresh peas. When I was a child I remember sitting at the table shelling peas with my mother, eating every second one. I got the grandchildren to help shelling, they loved it.

A sister from my church brought communion for my husband today. It was really lovely and peaceful.

Well enough for today. Good night.

Sounds a lovely day. I loved the Natural History museum when I was a child. I'm hoping it will be a little cooler tomorrow, how is it with you?

What an awesome day. Having Grandchildren around is so much fun. It can also be tiring. I watch my grandchildren often. Days like that make us smile. emoticon
