Wow! I cannot believe how good I feel. I have finally gotten to that point in exercising where I just feel amazing when I'm done and I can't wait for the next workout. I LOVE that feeling. I also feel really good about the food choices I'm making.
However, because of my pesky little thyroid, the scale just isn't moving as quickly as it should be (given that I'm almost 100 lbs. overweight), so I think it's time to re-think the plan. I've been eating clean (and loving it!) for three weeks now, but I want to try Chris Powell's Carb Cycling. I bought the book "Choose More, Lose More for Life" this morning, and have read the whole book already. I'll definitely be reading it again to make sure I've got it, but it makes a ton of sense to me, and I've seen his work in action on Extreme Weight Loss.
The thing I really like is that his plan is based on clean eating, just switching foods around each day a bit to keep your body guessing. I also love the structure of the workouts, which include cardio and strength training every day, five days a week. I'm super excited to give this approach a try, and I'll be starting this Sunday. I already have my food planned out for the first week, and I'll be practicing the strength training moves over the next couple of days to get the hang of them.
