I have a new reason to ditch this weight by May of 2014.
This is the pool next to the Sea in Turks & Caicos (in the Caribbean), where hubby & I have booked our 20th Anniversary trip. Is this not awesome you guys? Hubby let me choose the place to stay & I chose it simply for the pool alone.
I talked to the owner of the apartment over the weekend & she said there is snorkeling equipment in the apartment. You can go on the other side of the pool wall for some awesome snorkeling.
I have not worn a regular swimsuit since I was in my 20s, so this is a huge deal. I NEED to get this weight off. I'm going to team up with one of my buddies at work when she gets back from vacay next week & we're going to work together & help to keep each other accountable.
Since I couldn't go to the gym last night, I did an amazing weight lifting workout & some hula hooping at home. I worked some different muscles than I usually work at the gym & was a bit sore even just after the workout. It was a great sore. I did the stairs twice at work yesterday & didn't have to use my inhaler. Progress!!
I'm feeling so much better & while the steroid hasn't increased my appetite, I have noticed that it's making me retain water even though I've increased my water intake to about 14 or 15 glasses a day. Ugh! That's ok, I come off the steroid on Friday. Hmmm. Steroids & weight lifting. Maybe my little girl guns will be bigger. Haha!!
What is your big goal? You need to put it in front of your face every day. When I pass that chocolate-laden candy dish at work or don't feel like working out, now I just look at the picture of that swimming pool & remember my goal.
Let's make our dreams come true together, y'all!! We sooooo can do this! I know it!!
