Day 126 Check In...

Had a very quiet day today. Caught up on some DVR'd shows, finished a book, and spent time with family. DS and I went for a late night run tonight. It was much easier than last time. I even did an extra set! DS is such a good encourager! Don't know what I did to deserve that kid!

I will probably be up late tonight because DH was called in to work. I always have a hard time sleeping when he is not home. I'll have to find another book to start. Any suggestions? Something light and mindless is always good for late night reading!

Did good on my back to basics goals today (except water), but since I'll be up late I still can probably get a few more cups in.

I am really ready to start my Summer 5% Challenge! I am hoping to get back to my ending weight from the Spring 5% Challenge (which was 178.5) before it starts on Saturday. 1 1/2 pounds to go, so not sure if I will make it or not. If not, I will go ahead and change my ticker to reflect my starting weight for the challenge.

So sorry, this has got to be one of the most boring blogs I have ever written, but I guess it is good to have a boring day every once in a while!

    You sound like you are focused and staying on track. The daily routine of staying on can be boring, but it is so necessary. Good for you hanging in there.

I am tracking down that book..refuse to regain on Amazon.

    You may think it's boring, but it's *real* and it helps me to know what another Spark buddy is up to. Even if it's that she can't sleep and needs a book recommendation :)

I understand completely about the ticker and getting to ending weight of last challenge. I was worried too, when a high sodium meal pushed me up **4lbs** quite literally overnight on Sunday. I only just this morning finally came all the way back down! You better believe I will be watching my sodium the next few days, lol!

    I liked this blog. Sounded like a day I'd like to have. Reading, dvr shows. Time with DS working toward your goals.

I think DS turned out so well because he was blessed enough to have a great example set for him.

I was the same way when my husband worked nights when he became a C.O. I hardly could sleep, felt uneasy & I always think there are 12 burglars & madmen waiting for him to leave & then attack

Hmmm. Books -- I love to read. If you have a Kindle, or even if you don't (you can download a free Kindle reading app for free for a smartphone, iPad or for your PC). There are lots of FREE Christian Fiction books on Some are really good. I get most of my books for free like that.

    Good old boring blogs are just fine. You did very well today, congrats on the running. Wish I could run with you. Great job on your goals met for the day. Light reading, Bible is my suggestion, Psalms, they always lull me right to sleep. Have a great night, I do hope you get some sleep, it is hard when hubby's are gone.

  If you like light funny reading, you can try "Confessions of a Shopaholic", "Can you keep a secret?", "Remember Me ?" or "Undomestic Goddess". They're pretty funny and very breezy :)

    Great job with the running! emoticon so glad you have a great coach! I can't sleep when my husband isn't home either. Sometimes he goes late night fishing and its a lost cause for me until he comes home. Best of luck with your summer challenge! I am sure you will conquer it! The running is really going to help too. emoticon

    Not to worry, it was a good catch up on what you are doing. I was out with the neighbors on the patio, Nick's Mom passed away this past Saturday night. Very sad. We were just chatting, then I came in and finished up my steps on the treadmill, too late to go for a walk outside. Had to get my 12,000 in!
