Spark sisters and brothers before sparkpeople I would find that I could lie to myself about what I would eat. For instance if I had a double cheeseburger at 1am while driving home with the kids I wouldn't think nothing of it I would chalk it up to being up late and since it did not fall under the normal breakfast, lunch or dinner, I considered it a freebie. Or while at work if I had an Klondike ice cream bar as desert to my lunch I would think to myself "well it's just part of lunch and I didn't eat that much for lunch"
Boy was I wrong I joined spark people and had to come to grips with the idea that everything I ate I had to track, that was really hard for me. I would just forget to track something and not put some food down because deep inside I knew I had blown it.
One night while coming home from picking up my daughter at 2am from a party I was hungry and decided to stop at BK's for my favorite a double cheeseburger, fries and a coke. I got it ate it on the way home but one change when I got home I went to the computer I was curious as to how many calories I had eaten...
OMG I had eaten over 1/2 my total days calories. I tracked it as a snack and had to watch my intake the rest of the day.
I could have lied to myself yet again but I knew if I wanted to get results I would have to track and track and track the good the bad and the ugly!! Thanks to sparkpeople seeing it in front of me and seeing what I had eaten was like a slap on the face!! I woke up from
Now I track it all luckily I'm making better choices now and don't cringe when I have to track all my food. Now I'm like
