How is everyone doing on the challenge so far?

Cutting down on coffee has been hard but I am down to one a day...problem is that I had started having those iced coffees! The Iron tabs were making me feel really ill so I took a break for a day or two, will resume again tomorrow!

It could be the B12 that I was taking with it? So not sure which was making me feel ill. Will have to experiment to see which is the culprit!

I have problems with iron and my tummy. Have you ever tried nutritional yeast for B vitamins? I use this stuff:

It is yummy and works for raising my numbers when I am consistent with it. I sprinkle it on all kinds of things and put it in smoothies. My favorite is in my egg whites and in quinoa. I mix it in after the food is cooked. I need to give it a go. Really don't want weekly injections. Oh, if you buy another brand make sure it is "fortified" with B vitamins. People often think that all nutritional yeast is high in B, but it is really only the fortified stuff. I have had a few brands and like the one above because of the almost buttery flavor:)

    I have a hard time with B vitamins, I cannot take them in the morning, only in the afternoon with a snack. Try different combinations and see what works for you and in the meantime load up on iron rich foods (spinach, beef etc)
After being out most of the day yesterday, today is time to catch up on my Monday chores - bed, laundry, cleaning and some cooking - I'm thinking blueberry pear compote and maybe some broccoli soup. We have had lovely crisp mornings but the afternoons still get warm (high 80's)
Lost most of my unexplained gain.. I'm thinking it may have been the painkillers I took for my cluster headaches I had over the weekend... One was bad enough to wake me up in the middle of the night.
