Yesterday I started the Weightloss for Idiots program.
It's 11 days on the diet and 3 days off.
It's an online program and they give you a list of foods and you tell them which ones you like and they create an 11 day menu for you. It's four meals a day. You are supposed to eat only until you are full, so theres no calorie counting but you aren't starving yourself either. The program is a technique called calorie switching or something like that. Basically the change the types of food you are eating so it supposedly confuses your body and makes losing weight easier. I was a little sceptical but my sister-in-law, pastor and his wife have all lost a lot of weight using the program. Of course they have gained some back but I'm hoping to use the program as a jump start and apply what I know from years on Spark to make my weightloss maintainable.
My starting weight was 273.5
Day 1 one went pretty well. I had to fight some cravings but I made it through. Drank 9 glasses of water. I rode my bike about 4 miles. Two and from work and a trip to the gas station.
Here's what my meals were yesterday:
#1 sausage links, peanuts, apples
#2 tuna salad, hard boiled eggs
#3 deli meat, turkey and ham and frozen yogurt
#4 chicken and scrambled eggs
The way the program works is I can eat everything listed for that meal or just one thing. The only rule is to stop eating once you are full. Calorie tracking is not required but I'm doing it anyway and I ate around 1500 calories yesterday which is within the range Sparkpeople suggested for me.
When I weighed in this morning I was at 269.5. I attribute most of this to water weight.
On to day 2. Today is a fruit day. My breakfast today was a turkey sandwhich and then for the rest of the day all I can eat is fresh fruit.
I'm curious to see what I will weight tomorrow morning.
