I Suppose I Was Bad Today

So, I've been pushing my workouts harder after being at it for just over a month and a weight loss of about 10 pounds. I certainly didn't think I would have the sort of increased ability in my workouts in only a month, especially with my weight still at just over 200 pounds. The last couple of workouts I've been pushing really hard, and got very sore. With the program you're only supposed to take one day off to not work out per week. But when I got up today I was still so sore that I felt concerned that I'd be at risk for injury as I don't feel I can hold proper form this sore. In a nutshell, I was supposed to workout today and didn't. My rest day was not supposed to be until Saturday, and it's not even close. Eh...

    I totally agree with the others. Listen to your body.

You want to challenge yourself, but you don't want to push and risk injury. Its just not worth it

    You have to listen to your body - good for you for not pushing hard on a day when you weren't sure about it. The worst thing you could do would be to injure yourself - what a setback that would be! Its only been a month that you've been back, cut yourself some slack (but not too much! LOL) and allow yourself to get into your groove.

  Don't beat yourself up for not working out today. If you push when you are still sore you will cause further damage. Tomorrow is another day.
