Day 29 of the Spark Solution
Breakfast: Strawberry Ice Cream bread
Lunch: Ate at a Chinese Restaurant…Chicken Lo Mein and 1 cup fried rice
Dinner: SP Beef & Broccoli with brown rice…tried a new recipe to see how the family would like it. I did a makeover of the recipe, because several ingredients were entered incorrectly, as in 30 cups of corn starch instead of 2 Tbls, and I used low sodium broth and soy sauce. Made a big difference in the nutrient values, and a little in calories. We all liked it, but thought it could use a bit more of a zip, so next time I will add more garlic and some fresh ginger. I’m just thrilled they ate it up and wanted it again!
Exercise: Evening walk around the neighborhood with hubby. Not much time for exercise today, as we had to go to a neighboring town to register my son for his driver’s ed course. Went out to eat and did a bit of shopping while we were there. It took twice as long to go both ways, as we went the scenic route so that he could drive.
The scale finally moved!!! Not much, just about ˝ lb, but it moved! Even if I only lose ˝ lb a month, that’s 6 lbs a year closer to better health than I was before. Most of my measurements stayed the same, but my waist is an inch smaller. At that rate, my waist could theoretically be 12 inches smaller in 1 year. That’s enough to make me feel encouraged and successful. Apparently, Coach Tonya was right, and I did need to up my calories a bit. The new tracking system pointed that out to me, and she confirmed it. Glad I listened and complied.
