I'm sort of Back.....

I am sort of back on track.....I have been to the fitness center twice in the last week and I have started watching what I eat again. I have not done any food tracking yet, but I will work on that soon. Part of my motivation has been my DD's joining a weight loss challenge and I plan to be very supportive....she is motivated by the possibility of winning some money, but also to improve her health as well. Hubby has had a health setback in early July, and that helped motivate DD as well. She realizes that any health issue we have, she is genetically prone to, as well. So, she and I are hitting the fitness center, as Hubby is not allowed to do anything strenuous at this time.....including going to work.....he is going slightly bonkers with the enforced inactivity. At least he can sit out at our lake camper and relax and possibly fish if the weather co-operates. emoticon He has also been cooking our evening meals, as DD and I join him most evenings, lately. I even have him trained to not add any salt or sugar to the cooking. Yea!! emoticon
I have not been very active lately, besides at work, but I have managed to maintain my current loss within a pound or two up or down. Since starting to watch more carefully what I eat, I think I have started to lose again.
emoticon I had another appointment with my nephrologist, and he approved of my weight loss, but I could tell he would have preferred more gone. My Blood Pressure was finally to a point where he approved of it......108/60......I thought I would never get it to stay down when I was in his office....It always seemed to go up when I saw him. Of course, he had to mess with my medications again......he dropped one BP med and added a different one.....at least he was nice and told me to finish what I had on hand.....which was good, as I had just refilled it for 90 days around a month ago. I get to go back to see him about a month after I start the new med.....to make sure it doesn't mess up my potassium level.
I have had a couple appointments with my optometrist as well.....my eye "pressures" were up the first visit, and they were down again the second visit....I "flunked" my field of vision test by managing to click several times when there was nothing to click at. So now I get to go back to see him again and redo that test. I am hoping to set up appointments for the same day, so I can take off less time from work.

    Hope your DH does well and is back to getting an ok to start being active ( slowly ) soon. Remember getting back on track again is the first step and you can continue to make good improvements again. It seems if you only lose a small amount the doctor thinks you should have done better; instead of being happy that you lost weight. Hope you and your daughter enjoy the time together at the gym, it is nice to have a workout buddy.
