It seems that many of my blogs are about me wanting to do better. In the interest of accountability (and getting some blog balance), I'll try to blog this week about my goals.
I will eat three healthy meals and possibly 1 or 2 snacks each day.
This went well on Monday. I started after breakfast (which was black coffee). I went home for lunch and made a nice, balanced lunch. Dinner was kind of funky (edamame, milk, and dough).
I will plan, prep, and shop as much as I can for the week on Monday.
Check! I didn't do the best job of planning, but I had an idea of what I wanted. I made a batch of protein bars that are based on sesame seeds. They are actually pretty tasty, especially considering that I discovered that the sesame seeds expired in June...of 2012. I also tried to make a healthy snack cake, but I failed. The thing weighed 42 lbs. Argh.

I will try to be more conscious of The Head by writing down not only emotional eating, but also any unhealthy eating thoughts.
I forgot to do this. Will do better today.
Went out with a friend - she had ice cream, and I had a small cappuccino (no sugar). Made me feel like I was having a treat without blowing my food intake.
Monday felt pretty good overall. I did nibble quite a bit while I was baking. But it was a good day. And I have nice, healthy food waiting for me at home. And a 42 lb cake.
