Undeniable Progress

Monday, July 22, 2013

So, I jumped on the scale this morning, after my stupid weigh-in yesterday afternoon (when I weighed 132). This morning, the scale said I weighed 130. I don't know where those two pounds came from, but I can't imagine that it's fat...because I just don't eat that much!

Feeling defeated, I moped around for a bit. Then I ran my "weight loss report' here on SP. It started the report at September 1, 2012. At that time, I was 145 pounds. Since then, which was what? Nearly eleven months ago? I have lost 15 pounds. That's a little more than a pound a month.

Is that astounding progress?

No. Definitely not...but it IS progress. I can't deny it.

So, I have decided to double-down on my efforts. Another year and I could lose another 15 pounds...which is better than GAINING 15 pounds.

Keep fighting, Sparkers. The journey makes us stronger!

Hey, that's great progress, nothing to sneeze at or feel defeated by!

Good luck with the last few, those're always the slowest...

And well done on the progress so far!

    Yep...I am Grouchy McGroucherton lately!

TERMITEMOM, I am at a healthy BMI. So, technically I don't have anything left to lose. At this point I am fighting my body over a few vanity pounds.

I was aiming for 120.

I wouldn't be sad if I hit 115.

Historically, I was always 110...until I wasn't...which was a very sad day for me.

My husband frowns on me being 110 again. Hence my aiming for 120.

My my my, you ARE grouchy! 15 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. Yes, it is slow, but isn't it the best way to do it? How many more pounds do you want to lose? The closer you get to your goal, the slower is gets...

Ha! I'm glad I gave you a laugh, and sorry I gave The Man fuel to use against you.

My scale has been making me grouchy lately too. It must be something in the air.

(Ya know --- I really wish that this site had the little dancin' dude who does a happy dance then drops trou and moons you....)

Thanks for giving me a great laugh today (and pbblllttt for knowing that having permission takes all the fun out of it)!

The Man is going to be having me read and re-read this blog again tonight, since I've been having a bit of a scale-induced brain fart lately. You put in writing exactly what he's been telling me (so, yeah - you gave him the chance for a major "told ya so".... you sooooo are gonna owe me for that!)

You (both) are right --- it IS progress! Moving more, eating better, feeling better, and going down instead of up... really can't be described any other way, can it? Besides - since when is there a time-line for a happier life?!

Good to see you back on form! I'll be wandering off now and plotting revenge...
