Ok, you got me!!!
I have to measure my starches!
1/2 cup at lunch and 1/2 cup at dinner! (Also, 1/4 unpopped popcorn).
This McDougall idea of eating starches until I'm satisfied just doesn't work for someone who has PCOS...by body just reacts differently to starches than other people. So, more, more, more veggies and some fruit.
I had also sworn off avocados and nuts.
No oil if at all possible.
I'm thinking about reintroducing the avocados and carefully portioning the nuts to no more than 1/4 cup per day and see how that goes.
The good news is that my blood pressure has returned to normal! It had jumped pretty high before I started the vegan lifestyle. But my PCOS is still kickin.' Not losing weight like I should be and breakthrough bleeding a lot.
Wish me luck! I made it through lunch and did not die!
