Today Is The First Day of the Rest of My Life

Party is over.

Now what?

Focus on showing myself I am important. How can I do that? Work on the SP Mind Over Eating workshop. Sleep. Learn to say "no" and "I'll get back to you if I can help out". Get back to food tracking, non-cardio exercise (ST, stretching), BLC and my SP goals and routines.

Also on my plate are getting ready to send oldest child off to college for the first time, supporting husband as he looks for a new job, getting glasses for DS (his first pair) and jumping in to help my mother where ever necessary. And working as much as possible given our current financial downturn. Oh, and I need to BREATHE.

I am glad today is a run day.

    Can I tell you that I just read through a few of your blogs and the fact that you still logged and tracked and did NOT eat your way through this sets such a shining and amazing example for all of spark?!* Cuz girl I am here to tell you that even just one of multiple of these things would be enough to put the average sparker into an food fest and yet you really ARE sunnysideup Mary and you prevailed over it all and you focussed on what needs to be done, how you can do it and set out to make it happen without falling back to old habits and without throwing your hands up and putting YOU on the back burner either. YES! You matter and are important and acknowledging that and putting it out here for everyone to see is huge because while you are performing like Superwoman you need TLC for YOU too. On Azure Destinations we have a mantra that we embrace that I'd like to share. BIBO (Breathe in - breathe out). The next time you put on your virtual running shoes, please stop by Azure for a run on the beach. I find that the ocean soothes my soul every time. WTG Mary! You are so worth it!

    Wow, you have a lot on your plate right now-- I hope that your run not only makes you feel better physically, but gives you a needed/earned break and time for you! One of my friends who runs regularly swears that runs for him permit him to meditate and clear out his head-- often he comes up to solutions for things, ways of maximizing his day when running-- I hope you experience the same thing!
