A Hard Days Night

Monday, July 22, 2013

Spent most of my weekend outside, following DH and his chain saw around the property. We're still in the process of establishing a 200 feet defensible area (fire break area) around the house and garage.

I've been dragging and stacking limbs and brush and then we haul it into our yard and chip it for mulch. Plus, I'm loading wheelbarrows of mulch to different areas of the yard that need it. Today I planted a couple more bushes and a wild ginger in my shade garden. I've been getting a good work out, both strength and cardio.

Fire season is here with a vengeance . . . conditions have been elevated from high to EXTREME. Every day more fires around our area. The guys and gals with our volunteer fire department are working their butts off keeping us safe. So very thankful for them.

Just finished one hour in the (cool) hot tub and I'm ready to melt into bed. emoticon emoticon

Hope you had a good weekend too!

You are certainly doing some hard work, but it will be worth it. It is better to be prepared. You deserve a rest now, for sure! Sleep well.

Here inb georgia it has rained every single day since summer started...I am praying for this rain to head your way. Yard work is an excellent workout and you also get a great feeling of accomplishment. Would love to see photos of your yard.

Hope you sleep better than I did last night!

I love it when I can get my exercise or ST in the "natural" way by doing some kind of physical activity outside. Hauling tree limbs and bark sound better to me than other forms of ST emoticon

Love the Pictures. It is extremely Important that You have the 200 Feet Breakaway around the House and Garage. With the Fire Danger at Extreme it means that hopefully they will save Your Place from Fire. I know it is a lot of hard work. But it is Worth It. Try to Get Some Rest and a Good Night Sleep. You Need It. You are doing Super Great. God Blessings to You and Everyone. Have a Wonderful Week. Take Care. Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
