Error in Judgement

Okay, this is my story and I am sticking to it.
We had a fantastic Get Up - Get Dirty session this morning. Ross, more than fulfilled his duty to kick our butts (and Sandi and I came through for him in true "strong women" fashion). So I went home, got some chores and laundry done, kipped for about an hour, and headed for my 3 PM water aerobics class about 1 PM figuring I could relax in the cafe for an hour before I had to get ready... Well, I got bored and began thinking how little upper body work was done during the class by the instructor who was subbing while our regular one was out.
I decided that a little upper body work wouldn't hurt if I wasn't going to get it in the aerobics class (yes, I know I promised I wouldn't do that, but the weight room was calling so loudly), so I grabbed a bench in the weight room and went through part of my upper body routine (free weights, bench press, tricep and bicep work) and went to change for water aerobics.
When I got to the class, there was a different sub instructor (one with whom I have never worked), so I was totally unaware of what was about to happen. 2/3 of our session was upper body, so my arms (which were already tired from GUGD and the "extra" workout I had given them) were absolutely on fire by the end of class. This instructor really knew what she was doing (either that or she is one sick individual) and kept us in high gear the entire class. Even a stint in the hot tub just barely put a dent in the muscle "awareness."
At this point, I can just lift my arms to shoulder level. It was entertaining bringing the shopping into the house from the car port. I know this is probably going to be an Aleve evening.
Lesson learned. Never assume...and keep your freaking promises no matter how bored you get!
