The 4th week - a month later

So this is my way of life indeed - unpredictable, changing, anti-routine-ish. For the last 3 weeks I went to Finland to have my summer work I used to do as a teenager. Suddenly. The woman just wrote to me - this year we need more workers, could you please come urgently?
As a newly ex-student with limited finances and still looking for a job, how could I say no?
So that meant also new eating habits. For 3 weeks, I had to wake up at 4, have a small breakfast because my body isn't awake yet, but I know I'll need that energy. At 9, there would be a coffee break with sandwiches, made from our bosses. And then the job would end around 2 p.m., leaving me free to eat, read or do anything else I would like to do - except having Internet.

And guess what - although the food I ate was mostly fast food and my skin was the only part of my body that got unhealthy, I lost weight! Although the portions I had were WAAY bigger than I have at home, I lost weight!!

It made me think why and also find some reasons.

1) I ignored all the problems I have at home. Why to worry about them when you're so far away?
2) My work was related to physical activities. I swam, I played Spanish badminton (a game I bought last year in Spain, really don't know the real name of it), I read OUTSIDE.
3) My co-workers were people who take food as a part of life, only when you're hungry and ate only at certain times. When snacking, just one or two cookies, not the whole package.

And on the top of that -
I did NOT think of losing weight even for a minute.

This has taught me 3 important lessons:
Fulfill my time with activities that mean something to me
Stay around the people whose action I can learn from, not the words.
leave the weight loss only as a part of something, so that it's important but still I have another goals to stick with and this would be an addition that keeps me toned and energized.

And, after all, just do it. Thinking is great but in this case it only delays the action.

To help me reach my goal I also started using stickK goal tracking.

And with this blog entry I have stepped into a new record. More than a month of sticking to a plan!
Let's work for the next week. Sister's wedding coming up - this will be a no-routine week again.

    Less stress, more physical activity and portion control...sounds like a winning plan! Congrats on your weight loss!!!
