Well needless to say it sure has been hot the last 7-10 days, excessively hot. It got so bad out here I wasn't able to do any workouts, I could barely do dishes or laundry without feeling weak and nauseated from the temperatures. Spent pretty much all week inside too, and vegging in front of the fan. It's so nice to have cooler temps again. With all that said my 30 Day Shred went by the way side. The one hot night I attempted it, I woke up not feeling all that great the next day. So I decided on one thing, I will restart my 30 Day Shred. I will finish it, and by golly I hope I won't see any 90-100 degrees or more for the next 30 Days. LOL! My weight has been up and down, which is getting me quite upset. So I decided to ignore the scale, I will not way myself until my 30 Day Shred is over. This up and down with the scale motivates me one day, and makes me depressed the next. I just want to be happy. Also planning on getting ready for my first 5 k in September, it will be here before I know it. Very excited a lot of my friends and family are actually participating in it as well, although my husband can not. He has to work as usual. See he's a meat cutter, and when people ask for days off from their meat cutting at their particular store, and he's the one that fills in on people's days off well it doesn't give him much options. But he is excited for me as well, he says I will do great. I hope so. Wait I know so. I plan on timing myself, despite no official clock. I want to be at least under 50 minutes, but I want more to be under 45 minutes. We'll see how that goes. With the kids home for summer vacation, it is tough to get outside and walk as much as I would like, and to time myself. I might take one of my husband's days off, or one of his evenings when he gets home and drive into town where there is actually side walks and time myself. Going to anyways, since this week I plan on a virtual 5k. Eating depending on the day is either high end or low end. Not a ton of healthy food last week, due to the fact that we were running low on food and I wasn't able to go grocery shopping until Friday. Friday night I went grocery shopping by myself. A full 3 hours, no kids I want I want, even no one else's kids screaming too bad either. It was relaxing. I bought lots of fruits and veggies, and stuff for my salads I like to eat. So will be good for about 2-3 weeks. LOL! Food doesn't last long here. I even picked up some quinoa last month, haven't tried it yet but it looks good. Also have some cabbage to use up, and some pork loins I bought as a whole roll. I figured we could cut it up ourselves, and it's cheaper that way. Bonus to having a meat cutter for a husband I suppose. My kids had sleepovers thursday, friday and saturday each a different night over at my friends house. They love having one on one time with their friends over there. Her oldest just turned 10 yesterday, so party was great especially with the temperatures only getting to 85 for a change. I suppose I rambled enough.
Goals This week:
1) Restart 30 Day Shred and continue everyday this time
2) Incorporate walking DVD when I am not mowing the lawn
3) Catch up on chores around the house
4) Make plenty of "me" time
5) Finish cleaning and reorganizing the basement, pitch anything not needed or trash and donate others
6) Be happy .... most of the time lol
7) Reattempt Burpees
Watermelon sounds so good right now.
Can't wait for football season either. GO LIONS!!! GO WOLVERINES!!!
