Man, this is hard work! So far, I have managed to keep my weight in range (sometimes my weight varies by, like, five pounds in one day, so I don't fret about the exact number). Exercise is easy, because I'm very active in the summer and I love the heat.
My summer diet? That continues to be the hard part. But I see how my lifestyle has changed for the better, and I'm pretty proud of myself. Last year, I would drink, eat ice cream, etc. pretty much every day. Now, it's once or twice per week, and my portion control is much better.
I had such a craving for a Blizzard last week, but I did not give in. The next day, I was still craving it, and nothing seemed to satisfy it or distract me. So, I went and got a small one. I enjoyed it even more because it was a special treat, and not mindless eating.
Portion control, mindful eating, and loading up on water and fruit seem to be helping me. I am loving my summer so far!
