The Summer 5% Challenge starts on the 27th July so it is time to take stock of things and sort out my goals.
I am doing this as a letter to me from the subconscious me.
I know how hard you have tried in the past and how many times you have lost weight only to regain it again. I am also aware of all the negative things from your past and all the hurt you have been through.
That is all done with and although you cannot forget these things you can learn from them. You know what you need to do and how to do it, all you have to do is decide that you can do it.
You are a strong person and have always been there for others now it is time to do things for yourself.
This is not a selfish act on your part as by becoming healthier and fitter you will be able to live longer and enjoy your family and to be there for them.
So by planning ahead and setting goals so that you can lose weight and be healthier you will be planning for the future.
A future that will be full of love from your Husband and of course your Grandson, never doubt that you mean a lot to your family and friends.
You have always shied away from thinking yourself attractive and worth putting first and I understand why but this is the time to stop and be who you really are.
So I am giving you a list of reasons to work with and a set of goals to work towards, remember I know you well and I know that you can do this.
Remember I will be there with you and I will not let you give up. You have a good support group with Sparkpeople friends who will be there for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help we all need encouragement and support. The teams you are on will provide motivation and encourgement. Join in the Challenges and the fun, do this for you and remember to have some me time so that your refreshed.
I have written the list in such a way that you can print it off and keep it without having to change anything. Not only can you do this YOU WILL SUCCEED never have any
doubt about this.

My Reasons to Lose weight
Why do I want to lose weight?
To be healthier, fitter and slimmer
To live longer and be with my family and enjoy seeing my Grandson growing up
To have my clothes fit better and be able to go out and buy a new wardrobe in a smaller size.
To lessen pain levels.
What do you want to change?
My relationship with food.
My attitude towards exercise
The amount of pills I take for pain
How do you want to look?
Slimmer, happier, and healthier, to look more attractive.
How do you want to feel?
Energetic and empowered, able to make the healthy food choices with ease.
Confident within myself and no longer self conscious.
To have less pain.
What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer, healthier body?
The energy to play with my Grandson.
I will be able to enjoy going for walks without the pain I have now.
I will be able to do everything easier.
Goals for the 5% Summer Challenge
1) Track your food write down what you eat and drink each day in your notebook
2) Exercise every day 10 minutes is better than nothing
3) Make conscious choices about food whether at home or not
4) Use a daily affirmation this will keep a positive thought in your mind for the day
