Finally a nice normal summer day!

Saturday, July 20, 2013

For once the weather forecast was correct. It was sunny, cooler and wonderful today. After work we went out to the club and shot some rifle and pistols. It was nice and cool and best of all no BUGS! I finally was able to sight in and shoot a rifle we got this spring. Did some load testing and narrowed down the .22 ammo it seems to like the best. This rifle is a .22 rifle with peep sights on it. It was just nice to sit at the bench at 50 yards and plink away. Jim practiced with his pistols.

Going in to work on Sunday, vacation countdown is now 6 days away.

Had a rude surprise with our Credit union this week. They offer Billpayer, which I have used for some time. The website was revamped this past two weeks and the new "guaranteed" delivery times for these payments really caught me by surprise. I had adjusted the payments I had set up to allow for the change, but it appears that some of the payments come out even earlier. So instead of the $$$ being pulled on Friday for Monday payment, a few were pulled on Tuesday for Monday payment the next week. So for this past week, I had payments pulled on last Friday and paid Monday. Then the next day, Tuesday, more payments were pulled for this coming Monday! Yikes! All should be caught up now that I know what is going on, but sure was not expecting that to happen. Will be keeping a close eye on it and see how it goes. May want to revamp, but will give it a chance to work out. I can imagine this caught more than a few people off guard.
