Light a candle at midnight

Saturday, July 20, 2013

I am checking in early because I have a lot more work to do tonight.

Wow, I have had a busy day. I went with my mother for coffee and a hash brown with a sausage muffin this morning. Then I went in the yard for 15 minutes. I did one SP video. Then I went to get my hair done. I got some light mahogany streaks and a roller set. Went shopping for food, went in the yard again for 15 minutes. I fixed me some dinner and I just finished my workout part 3.

I am woo tier. But the work must still go on. Relay for life is at the High school football field tonight. So, I have trouble sleeping anyway, I might as well do some good with it huh. I will be walking all night. I think I will do some damage with the steps tomorrow.

I am already at 13,025 now. I love the candlelight visual at midnight. But I really like walking for Cancer survivors or victims. The past few years I have lost co-workers and family. Just two weeks ago I lost a school mate, co-worker and friend. Karen was so young lol, she was only four years older than me. I laugh because she always wore a smile, no matter what. It is good to smile when you think of someone special that you have lost especially when you are trying to continue their good nature and natural high. I walk for her and the wonderful memories that she left behind.

I will not only light a candle for her but I will light a candle for all those who have succumb to this terrible disease, but for those who are survivors as well. I know some of you are not walking for Relay for life, but you can still help. Just light a candle at midnight for those who have passed and for those who have survived. Light a candle in hope that we will not have this disease among us for long. Light a candle to show love for yourself and others.

Well, it is almost 9 pm, I told them my team I would check in then. Wish me much luck and hey, have a great night.

Goodnight for now emoticon emoticon for life
