My original plan was to do my first 5k at the end of August, but things were going so well that I decided to push myself and I completed my first 5k on Tuesday 7/16/13! I finished in 52:28, which is pretty slow, but I'm proud for my first time and I know it will only get better from here (not to mention it was about 85 degrees!). I'm doing a second 5k with a friend TOMORROW - so that'll be two in a week! I am realizing that I may be at my goal of doing a half-marathon faster than I thought!
I am so excited to be focusing on fitness even with everything else going on in my life. It's so empowering.
