So its been, what, four years since I was last active on this site?
So much has changed, and so much has stayed the same.
I'm married now. I met a nice young fella a few months after my last post. He's a big kinda guy too.
I'm a mama! I had my sweet baby girl in September 2012. She is on the verge of walking, but she crawls faster than I can follow her most days.
The same (or a little worse):
I'm no thinner than I was the last time I was here. I did great during my pregnancy, gaining only 17 pounds and losing it all by my six week check up. I haven't lost anything at all in the following 7 1/2 months though. So yay for not re-gaining, but meh to not losing anything at all.
We (the hubs and I) tried Weight Watchers again. I thought he would be more responsive to having someone else weigh him and track his progress. I love the man, but he ignores me when it comes to nutrition. That ended up being a fat, expensive failure for the last four months. He doesn't like the idea of portion control, and I get jealous of all the food he gets to eat, so I throw portion size out the window too. So smart. I know.
Since I can't get the hubby on board, I really need to just focus on me. I'm hoping that when he sees my success that he'll get on board and get healthy too.
I know I've said "This is it! This is the time I do it!" multiple times in the past, but I mean it this time. I really want to be able to pass on a healthy lifestyle to my daughter and right now I'm not living it.
