I was able to walk two miles at the day program! This is part of their exercises where we walk the track for 45 minutes or so. After lunch, we loaded the ten clients up in two vans and took them to the bowling alley. They each played one game. This is my first shift from 8 am to 4 pm... The day program starts at 9 am and ends at 2:30 pm, but I do transportations in the morning and in the afternoon.
My second shift is from 4 pm to 9 pm. I am in the residential group home now and cooking spaghetti for 6 clients and another staff. This is an easy shift. Dinner is on the table by 5 pm and I sit with one client who takes an hour to eat. We just monitor her for choking...so I usually read my Kindle at the table. At 7 pm, I am passing out their night time meds which takes about a half an hour. Then it's movie time! Twister was on TV and several clients and I watched it.
I am home now and tomorrow is another long work day, 8 am to 6 pm. But tomorrow is my Friday. Yay! I don't think I will be walking tomorrow. Strangely, my left foot is aching at the arch. My right is a little bothersome with the plantar fasciitis, but not nearly as bad as when I first started to lose the weight.
Well, it is late, so good night and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend by staying cool!
