Reflection of the last six weeks.......

Here are my numbers:
(Keep in mind these numbers are not perfect as my BodyMedia is shting the bed and some days it doesn't track steps or physical activity, and sometimes not sleep, but its close enough to make a reflection)

Averages for July:
Calories burned: 2441
Calories consumed: 1859
Caloric Balance: 582
Physical Activity: 31 minutes
Steps Taken: 4595
Sleep Duration: 7 hours 57 minutes

Averages for June:
Calories burned: 2651
Calories consumed: 2251
Caloric Balance: 400
Physical Activity: 38 minutes
Steps Taken: 4186
Sleep Duration: 8 hours 2 minutes


Cummulative average:
Calories burned: 2546 (54 below goal)
Calories consumed: 2055 (455 above goal)
Caloric Balance: 491 (509 below goal)
Physical Activity: 34.5 minutes (5.5 below goal)
Steps Taken: 4390 (1610 below goal)
Sleep Duration: 8 hours (Goal).

Be honest with myself? I'm sucking miserably. I suck at fitness, I do my ST for T/H and that is it. I barely do any other fitness. I eat like a dammnn cookie monster. I hardly have veggies. I love chocolate. Freaking.Love.Chocolate. And snacks. I could eat them all of the time. Due to my schedule I don't cook dinner anymore and DH likes to eat delicious things (ie: italian sausage hoagies with macaroni salad). Delicious, and my entire days worth of cals in one meal.
I've got to change. I've got to TRY. I've got to not be this girl.

    I hear you! I emoticon chocolate and it is SO hard for me to eat it in moderation! I have switched over to healthier dark chocolate and let myself have a tiny bit pretty regularly. I find that helps me not crave it quite so badly and it's easier to stop at just a little.

Keep working and you will find what works best for you! You have great support on the Gecko team so use them when you need that extra push to make the right choices.

    Eat a lot of good things and a little of not so good things. I eat my chocolate as dark choc in the morning 1-2 pieces before lunch (if I want any at all). If there is macaroni going I eat a small amount with lots of protein.

You can do this--- tracking is great--- try to adjust a small thing one at a time and you'll notice a huge difference.

Research the articles to see how the food works and educate yourself. Knowledge is power!!!

    Maybe it would help to think about what you need to ADD to your diet. Figure out the portions of fruits/veggies/whole grains you need each day and have them prepared and handy. Once you fill up on the foods you need, there's less room for the stuff you "want." I wish you the best!
