the job workout

Today I started a new job, in retail. My job isn't a great one, in fact it is grunt work really. Very physical. I'm not used to PHYSICAL. I'm used to sitting on my behind day in and day out...or being able to sit down when needed.

Today was a 4 hour workout for me.

My body is screaming in protest. My thigh, arm, and back muscles are so sore. Worse, my knees are very swollen from being down on my knees a lot. I have the weekend off, thankfully, I get to recover from today. I go back Monday..and will be doing the same job over again. I will get used to this major increase in activity. My muscles will become accustomed to doing the things required of them for me to be successful. It will be progress, daily.

The people I am working with are great, and mentally I am in a good place today. Again, progress :)
