My Daughter...my motivation

At age 60 I've only been over weight/out of shape since I was 45 or so....one of our daughters, our youngest, has fought weight her whole life due to thyroid problems that she had to take medication for. By the time she was 30, although successful (college grad, great career, homeowner, vacation each year to a different country) she weighed well into the 300's. She's tried every diet under the sun, losing 100 gaining 125.
She's my baby girl, our youngest, and have always been close; she only lives 20 miles away while the other 4 are scattered all over the US, including Alaska. We have "Father/Daughter" night out a couple times a month and 16 months ago we were sitting in Starbucks and she said "gonna try again dad, and this time i'll make it and maintain it." This was about the time I started on my quest to get back into shape. Well...long story short, she kept at it, Dad didn't.
Last week we had a "date" to go watch Pacific Rim and then hit Starbucks for our normal 2 hr "catch up and share" talk time.....her great news...she'd hit her target and bypassed it by 5 lbs. In the last 16 months through exercise and diet she'd gone from 290 to 145....I had gone from 332 to 327 in the same time period (I had been down 50 by last Oct). Talk about a proud Dad...it was a cheerful/tearful/hugging moment...SO proud and happy of/for her.
Anywho....I've got back on the wagon...instead of me being her coach...she is now mine. I pray each night for her "maintaining". Here's a couple pics of my baby girl, age 34,...the one leaning against the tree in the yard is from last week.
