Unexpected bump!!!

Friday, July 19, 2013

So I got an unexpected bump in my weight loss journey... I have been having issues w/ my knees and ankles, so I decided to go to the doctors.... Well i went last week, he said I have the start of Arthritis in my right knee... He said it could be from an injury or just from moving and grooving around..

On top of that I have water build up in my left ankle and that's why it swells... Also he has me monitoring my blood pressure b/c he said it was high. Now its usually good and healthy but latley i have notice its Higher then normal... So i am sure my next appointment i will be on bp meds..

He says i can work out buut to take it easy when i get sore.. So there is hope i just have to take it slower but i fig i am not down for the count. So that is one good thing. I am going and still strong but when my knee/ankle hurts i am down but not out...

STILL HOPEFULLY AND BELIEVE I WILL CONTINUE ON MY JOURNEY AND WILL MAKE IT TO MY FINISH LINE.

I have lost pounds and feel some inch's but I know day by day I am making better decisions for my body and I am getting healthier on the way....

Just keep in mind the research that says 10 minutes of exercise - and they usually mean walking - at various times of day may even be better for weight loss! I have lots of leg/foot problems and just as you're learning to do, I take it slow. Ten minute walks, ten push ups, ten squats - and I take these ten-ten-ten breaks at various times of day. Maybe that will work for you.

    Good luck!!
