It's not "just like starting over," it IS starting over!

Friday, July 19, 2013

Wow. I got on the scale today and found that I had gained five pounds in a month. Am I surprised? No, not at all. I allowed all the things I was doing: helping my son who lived an hour away to get his driver's license, helping that same son clear out his apartment for his move to Germany, getting ready to be a team member on a retreat, and Vacation Bible School, to give me an "excuse" to eat out, not go to the gym, and eat whatever I wanted. So I'm not at all surprised that I gained five pounds.

It's time to start over! Today is the last day of VBS, so no more excuses. This morning I'm starting the Spark Solution Two Week Plan (again...okay, I never finished it before!) and I pray I am able to stick to it.

Good for you. As Joyce Meyer says, "God will let us go around the same ole' mountain (test) until we win (pass the test)." We do not fail unless we quit and give up. We can do this, Sister!

Claire, I'm pulling for you! I had to start over back in Feb. after being away from my diet for 2 1/2 years. Needless to say I gained back the 50 pounds I had lost the first time around on SP. So now I'm losing that same 50 pounds all over again. But this time my motivation is different. I'm fighting for life with this heart stuff. It doesn't make it any easier to lose the weight, but it does help keep me motivated to move in the right direction. LOL!

You're in my prayers for sure!

Love eating out when life gets busy, but it is problematic. I think it is the higher sodium in their foods.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. VBS is fun, and even funnier when it is over with! God bless.

If you did all that and only gained five pounds my hat is off to you . I would have gained at least twenty . You are far from being the overweight mess that I am sure went through your mind as you watched the scales push past the weight you wanted on the scales . . It will be alright .
