Lance still in kitty hospital

Friday, July 19, 2013

and now my neighbor is in the hospital. She went in with pain in her bowels and severe gas. My DH is going to drive her husband back down to Guadalajara today to see what is up with that. I hope she is okay.

I went to visit Lancelot the kitty yesterday and cried. They were some happy tears as the doctor did think the sores and ulcers in his mouth are getting better but they wanted to keep him again. I got to open his pen and pet him and he started purring right away and cuddling with me. I cried as I really didn't want to leave him again but I know it's for the best as they are giving him the drugs to help. And he still isn't eating. I really don't understand why this happened to him. His sister Guinevere is doing just fine and I treat them the same with food and all. I did talk to the maid and told her to only use vinegar on my floors to be sure it's nothing in the floor cleaner that might be doing this. Have any of you cat lovers every had this problem with a kitty of yours?

Anyway, will walk the dogs who seem to be back to normal and not fighting. I think there problem was feeling abandoned when we were away and not getting enough exercise. They are much calmer now that we are here and I walk them their 4 miles each morning.

I do hope all my sparks buddies have a terrific day today.
Sallie

So sorry your kitty is sick, and your neighbor, too. It is a helpless feeling when we can't do all we want to heal and comfort our loved ones, furry or human.

I do regret not driving over to see you when you were close by. Would love to meet you in person. Life was just too hectic for me -- poor excuse now that I look back on it. Anyway, your friendship online is valued. Thanks very much for being here. Sure hoping you are feeling good these days. Great you got to spend some special time with the grandkids. -Marsha

I'm sorry about your cat! I hate having to leave mine at the vet! I hope he is feeling better soon.

This is just a thought -the animal rescue group that I volunteer with once had a cat that had mouth ulcerations and inflamed gums, and she had stomatitis. You can google it to see the symptoms. It usually requires the teeth to be removed. In our cat's case, they did remove her teeth, and you could tell she felt much better the next day.

I too wish your kitty the best and hopefully things will improve. 4 miles a morning is a lot of being in nature and I think nail on the head there. emoticon Mr. Lance

Have had a problem with a cat in the past that would get to where he would not eat and the vet said he thought he was sneaking prey when he was outside. He was and got a nasty lizzard that almost killed him. After that I made his collar special with about four bells so the prey would have a good warning when he was coming. This dear was with us for 12 years. Hope Lancelot gets to come home soon. We do miss them when we are seperated
