I read the book "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" little over a year ago and I was blown away! It was me!! I was always told I was just shy until you got to know me. No that isn't it at all. It just totally drains the energy out of me! I read this article on FB the day you posted this and I thought it was wonderful! I cannot tell you how many times I have been asked "what's wrong" by people! Nothing!! I just don't want to talk! Since reading the book I have come to accept myself for being an introvert and no longer try to make excuses for it.
Thanks for posting the article!

It is no accident I have been a third shifter (and practically a hermit) my whole life. LMAO

(laughing) We've already had this conversation, Laurie. Remember "The 8 second rule is in effect" and "If you have to scroll an email...".

Yup - too much time with other people leaves me EXHAUSTED! I recharge by sitting in a quiet room reading. Then I'm ready to go again.

That's my daughter to a T! She's also tired of people asking what's wrong with her....actually, I am too. Chit chat? No. Deep conversation? Absolutely. Thanks for sharing this.

This is my DH almost to a T - I need to share this with his family. So tired of hearing, "What's wrong with Tony?"

That was interesting......Although I am most definitely an extrovert, I have some of the introverts "ism's". Point being, when I'm done I'M DONE!...Whether it's someone entering my personal space, becoming bored at a social event or annoyed by particular individuals, I want to be out of there. At times, dealing with the situation is not pretty. Inevitably some nimrod will say "was is something I said?" Really???????? Lord, save us from the uninformed! emoticon emoticon
