We are all posers

Friday, July 19, 2013

HA we are!!!! come on now!!! Like seriously, every time I take a picture I am like WAIT! I have to be on this side, standing this way and head at this angle!!! Oh and "progress" photos? dont we all kinda angle it so we might like a smidge thinner?????
I felt "skinny" and thought I would take some photos..all posing of course...like no one ever stands this way unless you are a fitness model emoticon

ok ok so you get
My point. whether its pictures, nutrition or fitness. Lets try to UN pose our selves and start seeing ourselves how the world does. ANd even be honest with ourselves!
I decided to see how I actually look squatting, dead lifting and power cleaning. If I ever lose 40 pds I might wear this doing alll these exercises emoticon
now unpose

how I look after running

and doing Cleans

Because in life we live, not pose..and you cant flex in a swim suit at the pool. emoticon

Dang girl, I want my legs to look like that again! Just yesterday I was doing my daily reality check with the mirror (using that to motivate me to change) and I realized that I could no longer "pose"! LOL That last photo of me is still nagging at me because I thought I WAS posing:) I do ST in front of random mirrors in my basement.

You look fabulous in all of the shots. There is no way you have 40 lbs to lose. You are motivating me to pull out my VS white bootie shorts to see where I am at and where I need to go. I anticipate tears, anger and inspiration. Oh and yes I do own white cut-off bootie shorts that I would NEVER wear in public, but they were hot in the day:)

Your pics look great when you are posing or not posing.

I know, as for myself, I like to post pics that I feel I look most attractive in (whatever pose that might require). In today's society it's so easy for us to hate on our bodies and not like the way our stomachs, thighs, arms look. I spent far too many years with horrible body dysmorphia so basically I will do all that I can to better appreciate myself now.

Side and front poses are my go-to's since I feel at my best in thoughs. Although in an upcoming post I'll have some before and afters of losing 45lbs. They'll be in my sports bra and yoga pants. I wasn't the hugest fan of no shirts but it helped me see the how far I've come.

I ought to try this "un" posing. It's very rare that I have a shot from another person's vantage point. I'm usually the only person around when I take a pic. Maybe I can set the camera on a timer. But my phone is so jicky I wish it had a better camera.

    Okay, I'll stop now that I've written a novel.ha
