Looking for Strength

Thursday, July 18, 2013

So, as many of you know I've been struggling to manage getting things ready for my DD's graduation party on Sunday. Ironically, that is going well and maybe the least of my problems right now.

My mother is back in the hospital with pneumonia. Since we moved her on Memorial Day, she has been in the hospital three times, twice now for pneumonia. Really, really hope she can come to the party.

I found out this evening that my husband's job was cut. Tomorrow he will be looking for a new job.

I needed to tell somebody. These is not our first time at this dance. It is jarring every time. Rocks my sense of security. And we still have a party to put on. Thankfully, this recent turn of events does not endanger DD's party or ability to go away to college. Please wish for me strength, calmness and the belief that everything will work out all right.

So sorry to hear that your Mum is sick again & your DH lost his job.
Having been jobless a number of times I know how this feels and how it messes with your plans.

Hope your DD had a good party any way.

You can handle this, Mary. Glad the party planning is going well. Deal with the rest of it after the party.

Mary, I know there are a lot of stressors right now, but remember you are a STRONG woman and you can get through this. Make a plan, and tackle one task at a time. Some things you can't control, and thats okay.

Yes it's a shock. And as you said, not your first time at that "dance." Still, it takes a while to absorb the news and get used to it.

I wish you strength, calmness and accepting that everything will work out all right!

(Yes, in case you're wondering - my husband and I have, in the not too distant past, attended that same "dance.")

Like you said, it's not your first time at the dance. You made it through before, you will make it through again. Becca emoticon

Oh Mary, You are a great person. I pray for strength for you. You will get through this too and find yourself even stronger on the other side! I hope you are able to relax and enjoy the party. Please keep me posted!
