Just stopping in really quick before I go to bed. Today was my daughter's last day of Ballet (
GOD) not for it being over for her but for me getting a break!
We went to the grocery store and again, I am stumped on what to eat while not really having an appetite. The deli makes a tasty turkey meatloaf for $5 but it was regular price so it stayed there. I stocked up on green, red and black grapes since I freeze them for a tasty treat throughout the day
My son loves strawberries so I definitely got him 4lbs. I found a greek yogurt based artichoke dip for 100 calories! Got that with some wheat thins. As I was wandering aimlessly around the market, one of the clerks told me to take my kids to Pizza Hut and just get pizza. I told her no and they had it over the weekend. She said so what, treat them everyday. Of course, she was overweight, not judging her...just saying when you know better; you do better (sometimes)
I want my kids to see fastfood as a treat not only because financially I cannot afford to buy it all the time yet it is something to eat every now and then. I let them eat out 1-2x a week, sometimes none, because I really want to set an example.
Anyway...for dinner, I ended up eating a homemade salad and sandwich. It was quick and I am okay with that. The kids ate baked chicken, corn and grapes!
night and better day tomorrow, tomorrow! I have my conference this weekend and am so excited. I wish everyone the best and joy!
